Kelsey Whitney
Chief of Staff
Kelsey joined OPG in February of 2021 as the Chief of Staff. Her primary role is to work to help manage the priorities of the company, serve as the HR generalist, support internal operations, and spearhead special projects. Kelsey helps fill gaps where needed across all business units and serves as our executive recruiter to identify top talent. Her strengths are developing internal and external relationships and helping improve and/or develop processes that allow OPG run more efficiently.
Kelsey spent the majority of her professional career in the travel industry. She went through the ranks at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and spent the last six years at Acendas Travel in Mission, KS where she served as the Senior Program Manager helping many of their top corporate partners develop, implement and manage their business travel programs resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings each year for those corporations. Kelsey holds a B.A. in Sociology & Criminology from Kansas State University and served on the Board of Directors as Philanthropy Chair (2016-17) and Treasurer (2017-2021) for the Kansas City Chapter of the Global Business Travel Association.
In her free time (which is very limited with a toddler at home), Kelsey loves to travel, run, play games, attend concerts, try new Mexican restaurants, and taste test sour beers. Kelsey never wants to be stuck in a dull situation, so, she carries around a pocket-sized version of Farkle (a dice game) in her purse. Her favorite celeb is a tie between country icons Dolly Parton and Alan Jackson.
Kelsey lives in Olathe, KS with her husband, Chris, their daughter Delilah, and Yorkie-poo Henry.
